How I met your Mother (Best Friend Version):

Way back in 2003, our moms were really desperate to get a break from their kids so they planned a few forced play dates. It was an awkward start but horses were the Gorilla glue of our relationship. The majority of our friendship we lived in two different cities, but that couldn’t hinder the bond we shared. We would get to spend two weeks of the summer alternating at our family’s houses. This was a time of Breyer Horse Bliss, Horse Movie Marathons, Rom Coms, and LOTs of horse talk.

During high school and college, the stresses of boys and school were another reason to update on the highs and lows. Our schedules were difficult to coordinate but we did our best to prioritize each other and got really good with calling eachother minimum once a month. Our passion for horses was always there but we also were able to encourage each other in our Faith. We would challenge each other spiritually and physically to care about our health by staying active with sports/equestrian sports too. To end our calls, we would always pray for eachother, but also joke at the end and say “Girl, you gotta tone that fat!” After college, we both did better about keeping in contact and these past three years we have grown even closer.

Grace and I are both passionate about our spiritual and physical health and that is what has driven this collaboration. We hope this inspires other women to keep God the priority and we can serve His Kingdom better by stewarding well the body we have been gifted.  Ironically, we had never really talked about our personal struggles with body image and emotional eating until starting this project and now we realize why we need to have these hard conversations.

Our hope is to share our personal health journeys and challenges with emotional eating, how we are implementing Cycle Syncing, exercise, and much more! We will share results from our monthly challenges of healthier lifestyle hacks, mental health and even yummy recipes that we have tested. We are praying for you and hope you leave encouraged to be faithful to the life God has given you!
